Hi there. This is one of the many species I found on the castle-ruins 2 weeks ago - a male Calliteara pudibunda. There will be more shots - some nice portraits too. Stay tuned if you like to see them...

QUite interesting in that this is actually a double portrait! I like the little visitor! Great details here, and it's nice to see a moth sitting still for once. The ones in Chicago never stay still long enough to be photographed.
