Description

Hi all...well, the last picture I posted was of a chipmunk eating out of Mike's hand...as you can see by this picture, that soon progressed to the little scamp climbing Mike's leg and eating out of his hand in his lap. And again he's got his cheeks pretty full.(the chipmunk, not Mike, LOL!) He would run to his burrow, which was nearby and be back in a matter of about 60 seconds...unless he had to chase the smaller chipmunk away, which gave us the entertainment of watching the equivilent of Rodent NASCAR!

Cute little critter but remember: They are rats with fluffy tails. A family got into my attic and chewed the wiring and almost burnt the house down !!

Nice capture. The last time I fed a wild chipmunk by hand, I got bitten. I think the little guy just got excited and did not really mean to do it. It was many many years ago when I lived in Ohio and enough time has passed for me to forgive him, lol. Thanks for sharing. Lee

OK now this is too much. Do you guys live in a Disney flick or something? Do song birds sit on your headboard, gently whistling you awake, while chipmunks tenderly pull your covers back? The dwarfs getting the campfire stoked up as Snow White gets breakfast going, all the while singing a sweet lullaby? Seriously though these shots are amazing, that trip must have been amazing.

I cannot believe, how close they actually dare to come - must be all that good food, that is so tempting! I've never seen one here in OZ, as yet ! He/she (?) is absolutely gorgeous and looks very 'hug-able'... awesome capture, BB
