Description
I got my Hoya Close Up filters today so I've been experimenting. I like how close I can get but there's a bit of chromatic fringing at the edges. I suppose with four extra bits of glass on the lens there's bound to be some distortion. Maybe a lens hood will help? This is a rat's skull, about an inch long.

Excellent study of the inside of the skull. This would be really nice if it was whitened and had the bottom jaw to fit. It would make a nice European Head Mount in miniature for the wall. :-)

Yep, I get the same thing at the edges with my close ups. Cool shot though.
