Description

More from Docton Mill. I pondered long and hard over this one. Firstly i didn't want to bleach out the highlights to accentuate the darker areas, but on the other hand too much darkness could kill the picture, but maybe the light coming through the gate rescues it. When you dont have access to photo shop these things have to be done on the hoof, i am keen to hear what you think on this one, and all comments i am very grateful for. Zooming helps.

Alan the contrast between light and dark is quite interesting, I love the light through the leaves at the top and through the gate. Different and thought provoking.

Neri un pò chiusi , ma non complesso la foto è buona e poggia la sua forza su contrasto tra luci e ombre ! Blacks a little closed, but overall the picture is good and his strength is based on the contrast between light and shadow!

If you zoom and copy the image to the clipboard, and then paste it into the free IrfanView, and then click Image - Auto adjust colors, you get a much improved image on my PC using my LCD monitor. The mood and magic of the image jumps out at the viewer!

The contrasts of light and shadow are powerful and beautiful. This kind of lighting always reminds me of summer. I especially love the light on the gate.
