Description
The freedom of beyond the quantum: its vastness, its utter strangeness, probably doesn't register with the Probe. Most of its organic circuitry was taken up by history, geography, and other questions--all the things that humans in their arrogance thought that another race in another space might be interested in. So the Probe was taught to recognise and interpret things in human terms.
Perhaps that is why its 'eyes' were immediately attracted by the appearance of a flower in space. Maybe millions of kilometres tall, and weighing the quantum equivalent of a feather--which is probably a negative? So the Probe turns toward the shape, as it was destined to do, and it hurtles at ftl speed toward whatever lies in the heart of that 'flower' in space.
That's all for tonight, people. My head keeps drooping inexorably closer to the keyboard. Time for me to crash. Yes, I know it's on;ly 5.30ish in the evening, but the day has been, well, loooong.
