Very nice - the Tiger-Slogan I know, they used them in Germany in the seventies too. I like the cars style - especially the nice little sppiderweb on the front.

Just like last weekend in OZ @ the Winter Sun Festival, hot-rod shows must be the flavour of the month ! Great looking rides and I don't think I've ever seen a wooden roof rack before, very Fred Flintstone in design ! ~Cheers~

Excellent fun! I couldn't name all of them, but did know a large number. Yikes, what trivia stays in our minds. The slogan I remember most from growing up is, "Cities Service is CITGO now. Zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom, CITGO zoom!" My dad worked for Cities Service and in 1965 they changed their brand name to CITGO, with a lot of fanfare and a catchy tune. I seem to remember 'zoom' eyeglasses too. Great image and post! Glad you had fun!

Yes! I remember the Esso tiger. Indeed he's still part of the Esso brand up here in Canada - where the switch to Exxon never happened. And I remember that old gas can on top of the service truck. Many of those slogans really do ring a bell too. I used to be able to recite whole adds when I was a little fellow. Ah, commercialism.
