Description

Tiger Rose isn't a long lost love, it's the t-shirt. Around 1974, I was in the Navy, near San Francisco. I had a favorite t-shirt with a design by Mouse/Kelley (famed for their Grateful Dead album covers). So, I met a girl and we started going out and she loved my Tiger Rose shirt. Couldn't find another, so I gave her mine. Yep, the shirt right off my back. She said she used it as a nightshirt. Of course, it didn't work out and we parted, but I spent many a night on my ship, knowing my prized Tiger Rose was living a much better life. A few days ago, I came across a website with some 60s poster art and then found a Mouse/Kelley section and saw the Tiger Rose for the first time in almost 40 years. Memories flooded in and I knew I had to use the small image to recreate a tshirt. This design was used for an album cover by Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter.

fantastic work and nice story to go with it... you could probably make tshirt yourself.... just print it off on one of those iron on transfer sheets..and voila. a new tiger rose shirt
