Image made with WorldBuilder Pro 4 with Xfrog plants...
Most folks like to do pictures in software that is at the latest technology or at the latest capabilities, I am a little different in that area, I sometimes like to work on older software that is hardly ever in use such as Worldbuilder or Bryce and challenge myself with it to images that appears it is really not outdated.
Even though this software was last updated in 2004, (and most likely it will not be updated) there is still quite a bit of power in the program....I have found some things in Worldbuilder that Vue 8 have not yet come up with yet which that software I also have.
Spent most of the time on little details such as leaves on ground, sticks, algae, etc.....
Too bad I had to downscale the size and decrease the quality a bit to fit renderosity 500 mb file size limit ...(originally the render was 3000 pixels with a crisp quality!!). I may post it at deviantart soon for you to see it in full size.
I say to this program "good ole Worldbuilder"...

This is simply amazing! The lighting and shadows are perfect. The time spent on the details was well worth it. I would love to see it full size. You have coaxed the software into magical places!

You just get comfortable with certain work flows. For example, I continue to use Poser 7 for rendering because I'm still getting comfortable with Vue--that, and I don't care to spend the money on SkinVue. Every Poser character I import into Vue ends up looking like a freakin' porcupine because of Vue's crazy bump settings. -_- Anyway, that's the end of my rant and very nice image, doesn't look outdated at all. :)

This is beautiful! Wonderful lighting and detail! I love the highlights on the branches and grass, the deep shadows in the foreground, and the bright bleached out area in the distance. Excellent reflections. Lovely image!

This is such a peaceful setting, so serene. This is wonderful, Phillip and anyone can buy the new and latest tech toys. Not everyone can work magic. You're an artist that coaxes magic from every image, no matter what program you use. The shadow and light work here is stunning.

This is really outstanding work. Having just started fooling around with Vue and having been using Carrara in the past for all my landscapes, I am always amazed when someone does one as good as this! Never tried Worldbuilder, but you do it justice in this render!

Such a beautiful scene! I like the play of shadows and light and the stones on the path. I also like the flowering bushes, they give some color to the scene. :)
