I'm pretty much a DAZ|Studio user at this point although I am trying to branch out with Vue and Modo. A lifelong reader of Science Fiction and Fantasy I'm inspired to try to portray the worlds of my imagination... ...
Quote:
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as 'bad luck.'

Very nice scene!!!

I can certainly see from it where you got your inspiration, being familiar with the matte painting that you speak of and a big fan of H.R. Giger in general. Even though I know little about what all you described work-wise on this the results speak for themselves. Excellent modeling and a great SciFi scene.

This is superb! The first thing I thought of when I saw it was the Alien movie. I does have that Giger-esq look to it. Fantastic work!
anitalee
great work
LBAMagic
Excellent work. Love the organic ship.
geirla
Great sense of scale and alieness on the ship. I lke the complexity of the material too. Very well done!
theSea
Thanks to LBAMagic for pointing out the typo in the title! Fixed.
HorseLips
exceptional work!...although I believe this scene would benefit if the camera was pulled back to show a little more terrain to frame the spaceship.
maraich
Always beautiful work. I do think HorseLips might have a point though. The way the scene is framed now doesn't give a true sense of scale or the vastness of the waste where the ship has crashed.

Love your work, personal or commissioned (although the personal work is more interesting). I wish I could make primitives look so good. (Btw, I think you mean wreck, not wreak.)
wblack
Very nicely done.

The sense of scale is amazing (thanks to the figures) and thanks for your commentary too - it shows what thought and work goes into your texturing and overall planning - a superb image!
