Description
For some reason many of the cars were parked with their rears to the sun.
This means that the front of the cars are in the shade. Especially cars that have protruding bonnets.
My normal approach is to take two shots, one exposed for the tyres and one for the sky and bodywork.
This time I used off camera flash.
I still had to take two shots, but this time, as I only have one flashgun, I took one shot with the flash to the left and one shot with the flash to the right, both aimed at the tyres, then merged the two shots.
Unfortunately as you can see in this shot it has given a fairly good exposure for the tyres, but has moved the bumper shadow from underneath to above resulting in the black line under the headlamps.
Hey ho, back to the drawing board :)

Great shot and nice POV. I used to have one of these, in brown. The day I picked it up from the dealer it died after 15 minutes and I had to have it towed back, it was brand new. They fixed it and I loved driving it. Great memories.
