Description

this is the crane in the bridge post that I made the other day.without doubt it is the largest I have seen in person and the most unique.I went back there yesterday for more shots according to the website of Manitowoc There’s nothing else like the Model 21000. It is simply the world’s most easily mobilized 907 t (1,000 USt) crane. Modular design and patented FACT and H-FACT connectors enable the 21000 to be set up in as few as 20 hours by a crew of five and one assist crane. Its exclusive OCTA-TRAC eight-crawler system allows swing and travel with full load, and minimizes ground-bearing pressure. Capacity 907 t (1,000 USt) Heavy Lift Boom 109 m (360 ft) Long Reach Boom 121 m (400 ft) Luffing Jib on Main Boom 195 m (640 ft) Line Pull/Speed 217 kN/161 m/min (48,000 lb/529 fpm) thanks for visiting and any comments

Absolutely amazing shot, Richard! You always manage to bring the interesting and unusual to our attention. The signs of a truly top notch photographer. But you do not just take photos, you are a photographic journalist, recording the world around us. You range from the macro world of nature, to the dynamics of contemporary life. All i can say is, EXCELLENCE!!!!!

It is soooo cool Richard, and reminds me of the retired on in Kansas I took my nieces to see some time back. It is called Big Brutus and was converted into a museum of sorts

Madbat is so mean;) I love the 8 treads, and the whole toy-like look of it in that fire engine red. I want one! ...of course I have no garage, so it will have to be parked on the street;)
