Description

Namibia 2010 As promised, here is a closer look at yesterday's salt water marsh! I was tickled by the lovely abstract patterns it made! I cannot recall seeing any insects or fish, but I am sure this is teaming with living things!!! I left it rather large, so please have a zoom! Thank you for all your kind comments and favs on my upload "Salt Water Marsh" of yesterday! Stay well! Hugs Carin xx I am in bed today with a rather bad sinus infection AGAIN!!! Grrrr....

Kind of looks like the breakup of a sheet of ice in this most unusual photograph, Carin! And they seem to have the configurations of continents. This is what happened after the breakup of Pangea during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras. In any event, a very cool capture!

Oh, the green stuff is definitely alive! Salt water marshes have their own life forms, but they're often hidden or microscopic or both. Oh well! What a shot! What amazing colors and patterns. Nature provides the best abstracts and this is way up on that top 10 list for sure! This is really superb; you've seen and captured it perfectly! WOW!

This is BEAUTIFUL! When I saw it in thumbnail I thought it was a blueberry danish...perhaps I should have something to eat? This is a wonderful image that I just keep staring at with a strange fascination. Happy Birthday! I hope your sinuses feel better soon! I stepped off a curb funny the other day and twisted my knee. It's been "entertaining". Wonderful shot.

That's amazing! It's quite easy to see that this marsh is a living thing. What a fabulous capture!

quite fasciating and the boosted colurs make it pretty too. However, that looks like algae from here which means it could actually be quite lifeless in there being probably too hot and low in oxygen
