Description

This looks much better viewed full, by the way. A little more Photoshop in this than I'm used to doing. This is one of those ideas that if I really took the time and did it right, and then posted it, people might go "Ohhhhhhhh. Nifty." But I never have that kind of self control. So I'll make a few, get the concept down, and by the time I make a really good one it's not new and shiny anymore and no one cares. Poor pitiful me. I has a sad in my pants. Saw a tutorial a long time ago on an art forum somewhere about how to do this kind of thing. Don't remember where. The basic idea is that you use splatter brushes in Photoshop. Make a new layer above the man, slap a splatter brush thing on there, select the splatter, then go back to the man layer (while the splatter is selected), copy (to copy the tones of the man inside the paint splatter shape), then paste on a new layer. Repeat a gazillion times. Then sample some of the colors of the man and paint some splatters off to the side to give it a little more volume. About halfway through I wised up and started just painting a whole mess of splatters all at once on a layer and doing the process instead of doing each splatter at a time. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, kids.

Looks neat! (well, a little gruesome if you think about it, but cool) As a total random thought, the Tonner company makes a kick-ass Jacob doll (better than the one you can get at Target by a mile). Not that I know what you would do with one...;)
