Sand Sculpture, The Hague (Den Haag), Buitenhof. June 29 - August 27 2010. After the painting "The Procuress" (1622) by Dirk van Baburen (1595-1624). Thanks for your views and comments on the Escher of yesterday.

For only 10 years we've had a sand contest at Hampton Beach NH USA. They use 300 tons of sand to make perhaps less cultural sculptures than your fine shot demonstrates. http://www.hamptonbeach.org/sandcastle-competition.cfm

Wablief, joh !!! Schitterend werk qua fotografie. Licht en schaduw komen hier volledig tot hu recht zonder een greintje over-of-onderbelichting. Uiteraard ook mijn volle bewondering voor de man die deze sculptuur heeft gemaakt. FAV !!!
