The other day this little 20mm long grashopper landed on the Mullein. Got a few good shotd of it :) === FULL SIZE is recommended ==== Have a wonderful weekend. We should have a wonderful weather today and even better tomorrow :-)) Summer has finally arrived. :) And so will 2 of my gr.children tomorrow and they will stay for a week together with their uncle and my hubby and me. I hope I will be able to catch up with you every day, but I cannot promis that. Thank you so much for viewing and kind comments to my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Gorgeous! It looks like I'm the first to comment, but since I type a lot, someone else might pop in first! Oh well...I love this face-on shot. Grasshoppers always fascinate me. Some of them look like well dressed gentlemen with really big vests! This one looks like a leaf with legs! And I love the face, and those little black dots. Superb details and you really managed the light perfectly too! Yeah, Helle, you've got a real winner here. It's funny, too, because I can see this in the pages of National Geographic, and well...THAT in itself is a good thing. This is really marvelous!

Excellent image! Wonderful focus! Great title too! I spent the weekend before last irritating some kind of crickets and katydids in the Texas Hill Country.
