May I ask you something? When you saw the thumbnail of this photograph, did you ever consider it to be taken in another country than Holland? I guess not.. this image represents, in my humble opinion, all Holland has to offer in terms of Dutch landscape. I neet not say that there is more, much more than that in our tiny country. But what you see here is an archetype.. a symbol of the classic Holland. I gusss you did recognize the windmill which is suurounded by at least two dikes. A lower one in the front, but a much lagre one in the backside. That one protects this part of Holland from the see as the dunes here are not capable of doing that. BTW. a filter was used to create a painterish style.
