Headlights pierced the darkness below Krystal's apartment.
The four-wheel-drive stopped, inched forward, then stopped again. For a full minute, the occupants sat staring up at the light pouring from Krystal's living room windows.
"Well..." said the driver, turning to his female companion. "Looks like somebody's got power."
He grinned hungrily.
