This is my Morrowind character from about a year ago, Kitbael. Kitbael's mother was an Ashlander, but his father was King--then Prince--Helseth of Morrowind. When Helseth's relationship with Kitbael's mother became politically inconvenient, he sent the two of them away back to the Ashlands, but when Kitbael's mother died, Helseth invited his ten year old son back to the Palace. Kitbael became close to his father, but he was always conflicted between his wild upbringing and his civilized life. When at twenty he tried to steal supplies from his father to help his Ashlander family, Helseth banished Kitbael to Vvardenfell. Kitbael felt uncomfortable in the civilized regions of Vvardenfell, deeply hating the three Houses; he quickly found, however, that the Ashlanders were wary of him and considered him civilized, even his close friend Julan Kaushibael. Eventually Kitbael did earn their trust, but they never truly regarded him as fully Ashlander. Perhaps they were right, as evidenced by his romance with the Breton warrior Laura. Sadly, I lost Kitbael in a hard drive crash and I haven't really played Morrowind much since then. I'm currently working on starting up a new game, but I haven't settled on a character yet. Kitbael just had too much personality to be recreated. Anyone who's really familiar with Morrowind modding can probably guess a few of the mods I was using. :P
