Description

Very sad news today. My son works at the ARC Employment Center for the disabled. His close friend Johnathan passed away unexpectedly early this morning. They are the same age (36) and have been transported on the same ARC van for many years. Two weeks ago they shared a table at the annual ARC formal dinner dance (their 'prom') and are each one of the few people they could talk to on the telephone. Johnathan had a very tough life - physically and mentally disabled but had a very loving, supportive family and friends. Please say a prayer for Johnathan. My son is not taking his friend's passing well at all. Johnathan, in the words of Vince Gill: Go Rest High On That Mountain son your work on Earth is done You weren't afraid to face the devil You were no stranger to the rain God Bless and be with you.

Hooooo… Sadness in my heart for this young man and very large friend of tone son. Death always comes to seek us like a thielf and that inflicts distresses and sorrows I offer simpathies and condolences to your son my Beautiful and with his family and friendly That he remains in peace and good courages with all ((5++)) Hooooo... Phillip - they still aren't sure why Johnathan died and although he had a lot of physical problems and limitations I don't believe any were considered life threatening or shortening. We've heard nothing yet. My son goes from sharing wonderful memories they experienced to deep depression crying. It's difficult to explain the concept of death to someone not completely able to grasp it. What he knows for sure is that he'll never again ride and work with, talk to or visit his friend. Thank you, my friend. :)

So sorry to hear of the death of this young man Linda and the sorrow that your son is going through.. I know how hard it must be for you and him. I had an Uncle that was handicapped and how hard something like this was for him.. I pray the peace of the Lord will be with you, our son and this friends family..

R.I.P. I used to volunteer at the United Rehabiliation Services in Pennsylvania. I learned very quickly how much heart many people with disabilities were capable of.
