Description
Just looking through my pics & found these of Meadow, they were taken when she got her 1st CC (Kennel Club Challenge Certificate, 3 makes a Champion). I had taken her, even though she was out of coat as I didn't expect her to win :O) In fact I had told a friend who was always taking pics of the dogs, just to take her head as she had no coat :o) Imagine my surprise when she was awarded her 1st CC & also beat the dog for Best of Breed. The judge did own German Shorthaired Pointers, so perhaps coat wasn't the first thing on his mind.

The judge could see the true conformation of Meadow without her coat, shows what a great specimen she is:-)

Maybe being out of coat was in her favor, as someone else mentioned, it allowed the judge to see her confirmation better, not being distracted by a gorgeous shiney coat, LOL! And it proves that she's a gorgeous dog when she got that first CC with a terrible coat! AND best of Breed! What a coup!
