Description
. . . because they end. Last night I dreamed I held you in my arms .. The music was never ending .. We danced as the evening stars faded to black. For who are we .. Without hope in our hearts .. That one day we'll drink from life's blessed waters .. And eat the fruit from the vines? I know love and fortune will be mine .. Somewhere across the border. —BruceThe difference between 'one brief, shining moment' and 'never at all' is a great deal. —Geoffrey Ashe

What if you think you see a hand reaching for you. You turn to take it but its gone??? Was it real or simply imagined? What if you take the hand that claims to be reaching for you only to find an empty shell instead??? Beautiful image! As Always I love the light and shadow play! And the words??? They are words to live by...take the hand real or imagined and hope its not a shell and enjoy the time you have!!!!! Until...

Dance as if no one is watching... like Callad, experience and age seem to be incorrectly matched. Wishing I knew then what I know now.

Lorie: "What if ..." "What if .." Several years back [ perhaps several more years than I am presently remembering ] I was to meet up with a friend at a local mall. The traffic was kinder than I'd anticipated which allowed me to arrive about fifteen minutes early. I strolled into the bookstore to pass the difference. Wandering about, half aware, my eyes were caught by a small display for a paperback titled: Notes to Myself: My Struggle to Become a Person. "Ah!", I thought, "This ought to be the perfect time killer." I cracked open a copy and in the center of an otherwise blank page were the words: "I spend too much time analyzing my life instead of living it." Fortune cookie wisdom it may well have been, but those words hit me like a brick at that particular point in my life .. for they cut straight to the core of where I had been living. Over the years I have come to learn that it's not what I have done that keeps me awake nights, it's the things I chose, and that is the condemning word, not to do for one "reason" or another. We can't know just what will turn out from our actions .. but where would the joy be in that!? We can know what will happen from our inactions ... nothing. The trick we turn on ourselves is the sustained belief that sometime somehow all the right elements will come together and make everything perfect. While we are waiting for that magic bus to arrive all these other transports are coming and going off to wondrous destinations. "Hope in our hearts" is the key; the confident expectancy and faith of the Wise Fool. And like that fool, sometimes we have to step off the cliff with our face turned towards the sun and our arms wide. It's the paradox of faith: some things have to be believed to be seen .. others have to be beleived even if we can not see them. I didn't make up the rules and next time when we have our own planet we'll set it up differently. Here, as you say, we must find our joy in the time that we have. T.

As always a great sentimental looking porrait, here I can really say "The eyes are the mirror of our Soul" and I know that's the truth!!! wish you a nice evening, hug's Ute

Charley: Could I be twenty five and know what I know now? Robyn: Wishing I knew then what I know now. When I was child I often heard my grandmother, from the German branch of our family, remark: "Ah!.. Too soon old, too late smart." While these words stayed with me through life they did not bear any resonance until I had passed my mid twenties. With passing time I came to recognize the wisdom in her words. In recent years, however, I have come to embrace these other words Charley wrote: "never too late" There is always time to do what matters to us. True enthusiasm catalysts the creation of time. When our desires are strong .. we have all the time in the world. With warmth and friendship, Terry
