I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

As you can see here, Gimpy is hitting you with full on Cute Beams at full intensity. And it works every time! This actually makes me think back to the cats I've lived with, including the infamous Natasha, a rather gregarious curtain climber and killer of Q-tips. I'd buy her cat toys and they'd go ignored. If I dropped a cotton ball, well...lets just say that there was cotton fluff everywhere, and I'm not even going to mention the sparkly bits in the kitty litter box one Christmas! Needless to say, Cats...gotta love 'em, and well-dressed dogs are just as adorable, though a wee bit more dignified in appearance. Hilarious. Cats are supposed to be mysterious and elegant, and they're usually the exact opposite! And as to whether or not they look innocent...well...Gimpy's cute beams are working as intended so yeah, I have to say total innocence is expressed here!

To use an old expression from the American South, "They look so sweet that sugar wouldn't melt in their mouths." (Usually reserved for children who are anything but.) Excellent image! I love the positions of Gimpy's front paws! Very cute and captured perfectly!
