Description

A gazebo, in the park, on Lake Quannapowitt, in the center of Wakefield, Massachusetts. That is a flag pole on top of the gazebo. I must explain the every Wednesday, I take my wife down to Massachusetts, to meet up with her girl friends, for shopping and a late lunch. So my normal local morning walk becomes a mystery walk, in a different town each week. Photo taken this morning. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Beautiful gazebo Dana! I like the stone part, it really beautifies it. Glad you explained the pole atop also. I should have thought of that...lol

A lovely structure! What a great husband you are, taking her to meet her friends every week, it's nice that you get a surprise photo shoot out of it!

I love a good mystery walk myself! Unfortunately, in Chicago, there isn't much mystery in terms of unexplored territory. That's okay, there's always a more inward sort of exploration that works just as well. As for this picture though, it's quite stunning. I love the colors and the details you've captured. The structure itself looks like it's just waiting for lovers to converge there and whisper secrets of undying love (and such stuff) to each other, before the sun rises and their normal days begin, again. This is a great, evocative shot!
