Description

This is another old 2D image from when I was doing such things. BTW, I don't know if people were serious about wanting to see my other 2D stuff but if you go back in my gallery to May 2007 I posted a bunch of it. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=316142&page=7 I think this image was done in Painter 8. You have a nice illustrative style - even back then. The use of rough lines adds character to the image and the use of colour is excellent. Very good work.

I like these for the intellectual courage they show in adopting a new medium. The hand echoes in what should have been a ruin but instead finds a close darkness that doesn't guide but rather foolishly allows taboo directions to be explored.

The bold dark lines and the strong colors make this look like an inked illustration that has been hand painted. I can certainly see a unique style between this and your previous post.

Your 2D is quite different from your 3D works, Gene, and yet there is a style distinctively yours that radiates from each medium. There's a little early Picasso in this one as well. ;-) Terry
