It has about a 3 inch. wing-span. There are bigger Dragonflys around here, but I never see them down low, only flying above the trees in the dusk when the bats come around. They appear to have about 6 - 7 inch wing-spans.

super macro.we have many of this breed here. often at evening when I am on my roof waiting for the sunset, there will many dragonflies flying over my roof
