Description

My old Yukka has 5 flower spikes sticking out at the moment. I have tried to get a close up of the blooms. My wife hates to see these flowers and can't wait for them to fade so she can cut them off. She says they look so untidy! It is hard to see the individual flowers as they overlap and all face down.

Yuccas are more primitive than roses and no everyone sees the beauty of them but you have done a most excellent job of revealing their tenderness. I have a variety of yuccas, aloes and century plants and the tall spikes of unusual, hanging blooms is always a mysterious wonder to me.

Very pretty! Can't imagine why your wife hates them so much.

You have really captured these beautifully. I love the flowers but it is the spikes of the leaves that stop me growing these.

This is just beautiful! I love the creamy blossoms. When they face down and overlap, what you see is the lovely outside of the petals instead of the lovely inside of the petals. Either way, they're a joy to view!

I have grown yuccas before...and I think are very pretty... Some even grow wild here in this little rural area we live in.. Love the upclose image you have captured here...to see a different side of the yucca and showing the tenderness they have...... Hugs Susan~
