The image is very powerful...I don't appreciate the title tho. Better people come and look for the wrongness, then the nudity. With that said, the overall dark grimey feel is excellent! One thing that is not being discussed (my soap box on bp), all of this oil being dumped into our ocean, will have much further repercussions then the goverment and bp have discussed. The oil will become a part of our atmosphere, and our rainfall, our world. No one speaks of this eventuallity but it exists. This "spill" could well kill our food crops, our (land)livestock, and ...Us! Jet stream carries the currents around the world, they become our weather via condensation, and therefore poisen the whole planet. Did you consider that? Just food for thought. Ariana

And I would take the post down, except for the fact that if I did we couldn't read your excellent commentary. Thank you for completing my thought. No reason to take the post down. I do not believe there can be enough outspoken opposition to this way of putting wealth over life. I´d probably not limit it to BP though. All other oil companies have thier hands dirty as well. So every voice counts! Quite depressing - and therefore welldone - image by the way. Take care Ash

Well, I'm here late, but I'm glad I didn't miss this. An excellent piece, Seth. Unlike Ariana, I think your image and laconic comment speak volumes about the havoc that BP's greed has caused. Its a very powerful image, and not "feeble" at all. Kudos to you for speaking out on this, and for creating a clever "hook" to draw our attention to this important issue. As I write this, the spill has stopped. The damage however, will go on for decades, and we must not forget. We must never forget.
