Description

Well, I didn't think I'd have anything to upload today, until this little fellow came along. I stepped out back today to put something out on the patio, and noticed what looked like a dried, dead leaf on this stud. I was curious as it looked just a little too symmetrical to be a leaf, and indeed it was not. This is obviously some kind of moth, but I'm not really sure what particular species. Maybe it's one of Faemike55's little friends, stopping to rest on the way to Fae Valley. As I type this, he's (she's) still there, peacefully resting until nightfall. Update: I have accepted a new position at my job which will entail mantaining 15 - 20 large Kodak high-speed printing systems for a major client company. As part of this new position, I will be going to training for a month beginning July 12th. I will be in the Clearwater, Florida area (Tampa-St. Petersburg) until mid - August. I don't know how 'clear' the water is there, these days, though. Anyway, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to post or comment - it might be kind of spotty for a while, but we'll just have to see. I'm told by one of the guys that has attended this training that there is little if any 'homework' and no final test of any kind. If that's true I'll have evenings and of course weekends to do what I want. I will be taking my laptop with Poser on it, so I may be able to keep my TNA Girls from sitting around, getting bored. Of course, I might take a Saturday or two, and go down to the beach to check out all those 'oiled-up' babes. I will also be taking the cameras, so look for a few photos as well. I might well rent a car one weekend and run across the state to Cape Canaveral for a look around. As always, thanks to everyone for all the wonderfyl coments, faves, ratings, and friendship. You're the best!

Great capture of the moth or is it a Mith? It could be a resident of FV, but I'd have to ask Zlata, once I pry her away from the toys she's been getting. Good luck on the training and the 'vacation' in Florida

Wow...that is a very, very cool moth!! It DOES look like a dried leaf! Hiding in plain sight. Nice! Congratulations on your promotion...although we shall miss you while you are gone. Hopefully we shall see you on from time to time. Hmm...you know, girls like smart men, so if you get a beach chair, beach umbrella, your laptop and head for the beach and start working on renders, you'll probably have a bevey of beautiful, bikini-clad babes looking over your shoulder! Oh...maybe you shouldn't let Jo read this!! LOL.

I hope this new position makes enough money for you to be able to build that cool graphics system you've been wanting. HEY! Maybe you'll even be able to take a trip to New England this fall and meet Holly and me and Rainastorm too! We'll keep our finger crossed! Cool shots of this moth my friend! Excellent shots of this moth! Congrats on your new position! That sounds like a good deal all the way around. If you haven't been doing much traveling, you'll be surprised at all the places where there's free WiFi. You should be able to get on line from your hotel with no problem. (Or from the beach. Or the local burger joint. Or the middle of nowhere.) Bill was actually able to reach me via IM from a rest stop in Sheridan, Wyoming, of all places! Good luck with the school! I know you'll do great. :)

Hi Rod. This moth had it on reliable information that you might be grilling and you, being a good soul, might just let him inhale the fumes from your BBQ. He's reportedly been asked to rate your care from 1 to 4 stars and he gave you a stars rating to be posted in his next monthly Moth Blog. All kidding aside, congrats on your new position. Sounds like you may be off the road to a degree...after training. Looking forward to seeing some pics from Florida:)
