Description

Thjostar's journey notes. Found by Styrkar, the skald, in a golden casket at the Hafrsfjord's shores. Regal library at Avaldsnes. Pages 126 ff Gaukmánaðr, Beltane Our hope to reach our families today was dashed by a thunderstorm. Arnbjorn led us to this hallowed stone circle. As I'm writing this, the thunderstorm has gone away. May the gods be with us in this night, so we can reach home tomorrow. Day one in a strange world It seems the gods want to examine our valour. As I awoke, two suns shone at me. A small blue one and a big red one. The unusual light often confuses the eyes. It already seems to be autumn, leaves are falling from the trees. Where are we? Arnbjorn thinks Beltane brought us to Hel. But nobody ever heard of two suns in Hel. Are we dead? Day two While preparing the breakfast, Katla's daughter cut her finger. She bled. Arnbjorn takes this as a sign that we are still alive. I think he is right. I felt hungry this morning. Day three It was the first time we met some living creatures. From a distance we thought they were humans, but as we came closer, we noticed the failure. The three persons bore a likeness to human women, but their long, pointy ears prove otherwise. Their extraordinary ability with weapons is another tip for not being human females. They are as surprised to see us as we are to see them. Their leader said, she never saw people like us. She calls this place Blathandrel. Is she able to show us our way home?

Great scene, very good composition ! Love the way you write your story as a journal, with short lovely sentences and enough understandable for the french I am ;)
