Description
I've never been in a sailboat like this, or any sailboat come to think of it. But being far from land in water such as this while basking in the warm bright sunlight, while being totally powered by nature's breath has to be a spiritually freeing experience!
The wind in your ear with the sounds of an occasional seagull would complete the experience.
This is near Alligator Point, Florida south of Tallahassee, Florida, taken almost two weeks ago. Unfortunately the Deepwater Horizon oil gusher is slowly approaching this pristine location.

I simply can not believe you've not been sailing! OMG... how can you be from where we are from and not have sailed? No drunken sailing stories? Wow. Well.. I haven't any drunken sailing stories either, but I learned to sail when I was a kid... as every kid did whose parents had a sailboat. I loved races... good times. We had a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get down to Key West before the oil. I haven't been there since I was a child. I'd like to see it again... I always meant to and, well, I suppose time is letting me know there's none to waste now. They are estimating mid to late August for it to get down there. Not much time, at all... :0(
