I'm not sure if I have identified this butterfly correctly, as it is quite similar to the Two-Tailed Swallowtail. (this one's tail has been damaged though)

You've got it right; there's more yellow on the abdomen of the Two-Tailed Swallowtail, and they are usually about 400 miles south of the one you have. Nice shot!

I very like this photo, a good shot! The combination of the soft coloring (The Iris and the Swallowtail) they fits so well together. Also with that light falling on it.
