Description
A capture of the museum of Modern Art in Metz. It is called Centre Pompidou Metz.
The architects of this modern building are Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines. It took three years to built it and it was based on the shape of a chinese hat.It was just finished in May 2010 and was inaugurated by President Nicolas Sarkozy himself.
Today, you can see here a temporary exhibition named "Masterpieces ?" with a choice of famous masterpieces of Andy Wahrol, Pablo Picasso, Mirò or Henri Matisse to cite only a few of them.
In the future, it will receive regularly masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Let's wish that this museum will show a better image of my region which has suffer a lot these last years of the financial crisis and lost a lot of jobs (army, coal mining and steel industry).
I guess we can hope so because the inauguration was a hit !
Shot taken today
Have a great day and take care !
Virginie
PS : thank you so much for the ones who answered on my last image. It was interesting to see your reaction about the mixing of genders all around the world.
Now, I know that I was right and I was not the only one to think that equality is important ! Thank you so much ! :-D

Virginie
