Description

The City of Toronto has a fireworks display from July 1 (Canada Day) to July 4 (American Independence Day). As the Iron Maiden concert was on July 3, we were greeted to a beautiful display as we left the concert. I stopped and took a couple of shots of the fireworks over a bay in Lake Ontario. I wasn't really ready for this as normally I would have a tripod. So I used a railing and my steadiest hands to take the pictures. I liked the way that this turned out. The stretching on the lights on land are from me. The lack of clarity in the reflection is due to waves on the water.

Really nice shot. I have yet to try any real fireworks shots. But they are impressive. Well done here my friend.

Same here.. Not tried any firework shots.. We had a big display at the climax of the Stamford (thats where I live) Riverside Music Festival.. But, as it was packed with people, I did not risk my camera.. Beer and expensive camera... Not a good mix! Super shot for no tripod.. well done mate Keep Rockin! Rob
