Description

Back to the Whidbey Island Garden Tour. This "Skyy Bush" was growing in the gardens of The Gathering Place. Notice the unique blue blossoms. While deer attempt to eat everything else...this plant (patina'd rebar and vodka bottles) remains untouched by the ever present teetotaling deer population. Gardens here have been developed over the past five years. "Flowing with the natural topography and applying permaculture techniques allowed the owners to harmonize with the natural stormwater control features. Rather than wiping the slate clean and building orderly beds amidst rectilinear fencelines, they meandered downslope to emulate some of their favorite hiking trails, complete with mesmerizing viewpoints." This eye-catching bush was half way downslope...a possible cause of all that meandering? LOL Bill:) "Mossie ~ for Rob (debbielove) and Neil (neiwil)" thumb_2081472.jpg
