Good use of object placements - maybe the lighting could be different, I don't know.

Very nice. You might want to experiment with making the grass shorter and spacing the blades more closely together to minimize the resultant bare spots (the tree trunk is almost hidden by it)

I like this image a lot! You have done a superlative job on the composition! Others note a minor lighting flaw with big tree on the left, faded. When I see this kind of thing in one of my own renders, I study it. In this case your best tree is furthest right. So the answer is already there with an excellent example. You just have to light the other trees so they show more shadows. I use VUE and often add many local lights to a scene. Their intensity may range from a few percent to hundreds. Again this is a great picture and I wouldn't spend so much time commenting on it if it were not! Your welcome.
