sunbathing Great tit. In the first moment I believed that the small bird is ill. What a magnificent photo! Have you noticed that the most magnificent things in life are probably also the smallest things: little birds, insects, little-tiny mushrooms? I love things like that! This is a fantastic capture! I love the spread feathers and the flat posture: it looks like sunbathing AND cooling off at the same time. Animals are so intriguing!

This is great Ursula...I have one in my gallery doing the same thing. I, too, thought he was ill at first...just drying feathers and I understand this gets rid of mites too.

I saw a whole flock of barn swallows doing this once....I thought they were all about to expire....but they eventually got up and went on about their business....wonderful capture!!!!!!
