Description

Now I know this is probably not the posting one would expect after being to so many places the last six weeks. However I will explain why an aquarium shot was the choice for my first post upon returning. Had a late start on July 2nd, and so decided to drive up coastal route 1 as far as possible and stay in a hotel that night. July 3rd arrived in Eureka California paid for a room that was not ready yet and so went to lunch. At lunch received a phone call saying come home. Even though having not even stepped foot in it, the hotel would not refund the room. Upon returning home I learn that a group of "meth heads" or "tweekers" as they are nicknamed here in the states. Tried kicking in the fence pickets to gain access into the yard and eventually the house. They are all over the news, descriptions of themselves, the vehicle driven and they always try to gain access through the fence in the backyard. The police claim they are homeless and that is why they are still at large. Hmmm... how does one register a vehicle without an address... any way! They did break the fence but my neighbors happened to be home and scared them off before they climbed through the fence. The husband is an iron worker and like me has been without work for sometime. They expected every one at work when they tried their break in at 2 in the afternoon and lucky for me.... I have good neighbors!!! So I lost a few hundred in gas and hotels etc., if it was not for my neighbors it would have been a lot more!! Determined not to let them steal my vacation plans I asked a fellow Electrician if he would be a live-in house sitter. So on the morning of the seventh I went back to the "Lost coast"! Why did this image get chosen for the post one might ask. In this tank, located at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, these fish and coral form a community in which they all coexist because they are neighborly to one another. Sorry to have been a little long winded on this one but felt credit was due. Didn't want to post a pic of them or mention their names but wanted to show a token of gratitude of some shape and form. Brought him a 12 pack of his favorite brew as the shape and even though they know nothing of Renderosity, this post is a form of thanks and gratitude... to good neighbors!!!!!!!!!! Whether your a viewer, commented, rater, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you

Here's to good neigbors! I will drink on that! My neighbors were also awesome when I had that bad break-in way back in April at 3am! They were here in less than 5 minutes!!! Stunning image btw and good sentiments of coexistance!!

Great story and one I can relate to. We have home invasions here and the home owner is usually home when the gang kicks the door in or strong-arms their way in. I applaud you for not letting them get the better of you and going ahead with vacation plans. I would have too! Beautiful, colorful and bold shot. Excellent job.

Your story is quite scary, your neighbor is a real hero for doing what he's supposed to do. And thank you for sharing this beautiful image, it's very colorful!

Wonderful dedi to your neighbors and glad to hear you were able to get back on the road. I saw several fish tanks almost identical to this in Las Vegas last February. One can learn alot by carefully examining these works of marine art.
