Description

Well, I arrived in Florida Monday afternoon, and got all settled into my home away from home. Today was the first day of training. As my counterpart Al and I pulled into the parking lot, I couldn't help noticing this sign about 20 feet from the door of the building. Nice. We were trying to figure out the creatures represented on the sign's graphic - the snake is pretty obvious. We finally decided the one on the left must be a rather foul-mannered raccoon. I've never been flipped off by a raccoon before, but then the last time I was in Florida was 30 years ago. Perhaps Florida raccoons have developed a little different attitude than Missouri raccoons. Anyway, being me, I just had to take a photo of this sign. I'll be posting more photos, assuming I don't end up being eaten by an alligator or something! LOL! Thanks as always for your comments, faves, and support! P.S. I'm a little behind on commenting, but I'll try to get caught up over the next few days! :-D

Those raccoons can be quite rude!! ;) Great capture Rod! Hope you have a great training session and avoid getting flipped off by too many of the local wildlife!

ROFLMAO! The isgn is eexcellent, but it is your commentary that puts it over the top! I can see the newspaper headlines - RodS, A member of the Renderosity community was visciously flipped off by a tribe of rude raccoons. He is expected to make a full recovery as soon as he stops laughing.

LOL! Love your comments and the photo is funny too. I know the last time I was in Florida, I kept an eye out for gators and wasn't disappointed. Snakes...well, never saw one but I knew they were there. :-) Great shot and tale.

LOL! Yes Rod, it IS a raccoon. Why are they so dangerous you ask? Well, look carefully at the graphic again. It would appear to me that the raccoons in Florida not only wear masks but carry pistols and hold up anyone they can - even snakes! Poor snake doesn't even have hands it can put up. Now that's just MEAN! Talk about adding insult to injury! LOL! Thanks for sharing Rod. Looking forward to what else you might come across to shoot. HEY! I have an assignment for you .... find a nice BIG alligator and get us a picture of it - from a SAFE distance of course! I know what you're thinking - Don't be crazy!

Oh my goodness!! Raccoons flipping people off...what's next? Armadillos mooning? Alligators flashing their breasts? Is there no end to rude wildlife? Well, I have to tell you, seeing the snake image on that sign, they wouldn't have to worry about me getting any where near that water!!! Can you say second floor hotel room? Hope to see more great pics from you!! Stay safe!!! And if a raccoon flips you off, you flip him off right back!!!!

Oh, funny Rod. That racoon just thinks you are a tourist from New York. Tell him you are from Missouri and he'll treat you with the respect you deserve. LOL.

Rude racoon flipping you off? Beaver with a fork, trying to steal your food? Some sort of bizarre hybrid mammal singing karaoke? Man, I'll tell you what ... no matter WHAT that thing is, I'm staying away! LOL! Have a great time, and keep us posted. Especially if you find out what that thing really is!

That is too funny! I'd have thought they'd put gators and such on there, but hey, I've seen some pretty brazen raccoons over the years so why not? Fun photo!
