Description

Welcome everyone to Canyonland Motor Speedway located somewhere in the southwest corner of the back of my imagination....lol... Well I can say this was my most extensive creation to date with all the separate models I had to create just to bring this vision to life.I have always been a huge fan of rocket fuel dragsters since I was little growing up near a drag strip and just because of the atmosphere and sounds they generate.(besides what better way to display my model Bear Claw(wink).I always imagined a drag strip in this type of location just because of what the acoustics's would be like with such a natural sound stage...Please note all the spectator seats are in sky boxes located in the canyon walls for best possible views.I added a lake near track side for water reflections and of course if something should go astray for one of the drivers ...well...you get the idea....lol. So with that said I hope you enjoy the effort that went into creating this from the pages of my imagination. Created in Bryce 5.5 with very little post work in Adobe Elements 8. Newly added models to my collection are.... Sky Boxes Bill Boards Race Tower Finish Line Banner "Note" With all the special effects that went into this creation I can say with out a doubt that this has been the longest render for me to date coming in at 11 hours 53 minutes...basically I selected render and went to bed and awoke to what you see above.I was so pleased at the results I awoke too that I decided not to do another for the sake of rendering time and the fact that how many times did you decide to re-render just because you didn't hit the ball out of the park like you had hoped for.Well this time all the choices I had made turned out to be the right ones before hitting the magical render button.(smile) "One final note" ...I forgot to mention on my last rendering entitled AHH-Blazing that the fire texture was from Davidbrinnen.com which without would of not brought that creation or this one here to life. Thanks for all your comments both past and present and to all thank you and Happy Rendering. Last but not least... I received an email from the staff here at Renderosity that reads... This is a notification that you made it onto this week's Art Charts at Renderosity.com, ranking 14th on the list of favorite artists! Furthermore, because you were a favorite artist, we featured "Nashatah Canyon", which seems to be your most popular image to-date. This would of never been possible without you...the folks that have viewed and thought my art was good enough to be added to your favortie's and all I can muster to say through tear filled eyes is.. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!!!!!!!!!! *William*

Congratulations, well deserved. You did a really spectacular job on this too! It looks so real. Great idea for the sky boxes in the sky, great vantage point. The whole render was worth every second. Bravo, you work wonders with Bryce, very impressive indeed.
