Description
Deinotherium giganteum was a gigantic prehistoric relative of modern-day elephants that appeared in the Middle Miocene and continued until the Early Pleistocene.
Deinotherium is the third largest land mammal known to have existed. Males were generally 4.5 meters (15 feet) tall at the shoulders although large specimens may have been up to 5m (16ft). Their weight is estimated to have been between 10 and 14 tonnes. Deinotherium's range covered parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe.

I still get amazed at the wide diversity of the ancient animal life and how BIG they were. You've done a marvelous job here bringing back to life this majestic beast.

I like how you posed the infant animal. Makes it clearly an infant, even though it's larger than an adult elephant. What use did those lower teeth serve?
