Description

Photo just now taken. I love my desert. Plus I got a hell of a tan! I could fry an egg on my a**. Its only 110* in the shade, though. But its cloudy & humid as well. Its a bit cooler in town (Joshua Tree) about 15 miles from me. Where I shop in Yucca Valley its closer to 30 miles away.

I use to live out west! and I remember those high temps out in the desert... yikes not for me.. but I also remember how lovely it would be at night, and seeing all the stars out out in the opens spaces, I do miss that.

Only about 112 where I am today but that's supposed to go up over the next couple of days ~ High Heat Advisories 'til like 10:00 p.m. being broadcast. Of course our "monsoon" season here has started as well... the A/C is working overtime between the temp and trying to wring some of the moisture out of the air. Hydration is the word of the day... :D

I often stop in Joshua Tree on my way through to Arizona but I never went through at this temperature. Usually we travel at night. :-) It makes me feel like I have no room to complain at only 100 degrees here in the valley.
