The Irish(oops-didn't use the Scottish version) Soda Bread turned out pretty darned good! I used this recipe minus the sugar:

It really is easy, and it's a bit crumbly like cornbread, but still tastes bready. My only advice would be to make the dough 'round' not too high. Go for wider and shorter. I had to add bake time to mine because I made it TOO ROUND which made it too high. Good luck! There are also recipes that have raisins if you like sweet bread or just add the sugar to this one.

This is nice. Yes ISB is also nice. Easy to cook, and you don't need sugar. Never tried cornbread.
