Description

Made a few mistakes with my camera settings on this trip. Keeping focus on the lava movement and heat while adjusting your camera can be a problem sometimes. Lost a few pictures, corrected the problem and learned a lesson. The heat was intense. Most times I'll use a flash at nights unless it is exploding. If it is, your manual adjustment with a tripod are best to catch the fireworks effects. Taking close up pictures, I either use a monopod or freehand. In and out fast or your lens will burn with you. In this picture, I see a face. Zoom in and look at the strip of lava that forms a backwards "C".....Do you see her face? Aloha and thank you for viewing

Oh Errol, I so admire every single shot you take of the lawa! This is another phenomenal piece of art! I must say - i wouldn't mind a tiny bit of that heat at the moment! It is freezing cold here!!!

Brilliant Errol! I absolutely adore the colours you've captured here, such a hot tempered and ominous beauty! Indeed, intensity is the word that comes to mind.... this is deep and superb! A wonderfully dangerous and risky capture!

I never see "things" in images like others do but what I do see is marvelous power, strength and a mind of it's own. Stellar work.

Fantastic shot as always. it has to be tough trying to focus and watch the lava coming at you.

Madame Pele always seems to show herself in volcanic pictures. Awesome stuff. Glad you or your camera didn't burn with her. Aloha
