Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is great. People doing what they love and others benefit from it! Have a good trip.

Physically active as usual, I see. Lots of light-dark contrast in this fine composition, Maz! But that dude on the right might get his dreadlocks caught in the pleated folds of the accordion.

It's great to see actual street musicians! They're always such a necessary part of urban life, despite the fact that people don't stop to actually notice them most times. I love their expressions and the quality of the light in this. The dude has some impressive dreads...kind of a rarity on this side of the Atlantic for some reason! This is really great stuff!
