Description

Across the road from where I work, we had a restaurant that had seen better times. After some discussion, it went down in a pile of dust and rubble. My Boss and I, after getting stuff for the business, stopped by where the Parker House stood and I go some pictures of the rubble. I turned around and spotted this vehicle, which I tentavely identified as a model of the Jeep! If anyone can help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks for all you comments and faves! I geratly appreciate them all. I wish everyone a great and joyouse weekend Mike

I think this might be it Mike. But I have to say I have never sen one before this. O just followed lesgraham guess and did a search on google and found this http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/tag/m-37/ Dodge M-37s were one of the most utilized military vehicles during the Korean War era. With the same six-cylinder engine as the Plymouth cars and a heavy duty New Process transfer case, they proved they could take a beating. The 3/4-ton 4WD convertible was designed to replace the WWII WC series Dodge trucks and the military designation for them was G-741. They were replaced by the M-880 Dodge trucks in the mid-sixties When the military needed a rugged medium-duty truck to cope with the police action on the Korean peninsula Dodge rushed to meet the requirement with a variant on its WWII WC-series. Dubbed the M37 it was a multi-purpose 4x4 with a pickup-style bed. It was powered by the T245 Dodge flathead six used successfully in the WC a 230 cubic inch flathead with long 4 5/8 stroke for superior torque. A two-speed transfer case allowed the M37 to be operated in both 2- and 4-wheel drive in high and low speed range. Production began in January 1951 and continued through 1968 in three distinct series until 115838 had been produced.

Lesgraham just became my new best friend although I liked Madbat's comment. Now down to the serious stuff - Harry (GoodOleBoy) will love this truck. Not very aerodynamic but a cool capture. Dana
