Description
Picture was taken yesterday in Avezzano (AQ) by a friend, I am sitting near famous Buzz Aldrin astronaut and his wife... I cannot express what emotion/honor for me!
(I was tempted to insert the picture in historical or mythilogy genre, but space is probably more appropriate...)

I met him once in the 80's. He was opening a new ride at a local theme park and I felt that he was somehow being dealt a raw hand for someone who had flown so high.

Maybe Buzz can be our ambassador to some Muslim country like Iran or Saudi Arabia since NASA main objective now according to Obama is to make the Muslims feel better about themselves now that NASA has been striped of any goal by this administration. By the way I have met Buzz on quite a few occasion during the ISDC that is held every year around the country. He is a living legend and a national treasure. The people that went to the moon will always be a shinning example of what our country is capable of doing giving the right goals. Too bad that this administration has not a clue as to what NASA is all about. 2012 cannot come soon enough so we can finally get back to the business of human exploration with hopefully a new space vehicle to get them there.
