Description

Commission work of a semi OC, Lady Ultron. I had some ideas in the wings for non comic book type images, but a long line of commissions came in for heroes. So for the time I'll be sticking with the men and women in tights. Since my kids are wanting to go to Discovery Cove in Orlando Fl. ($$$$$), the commissions are very much welcome. I had a couple of people ask me about the plasma backgrounds I've used in several images. It's really very simple, and rather than going through the hassle of another tutorial, I'll give those that are interested the steps right here. It's all done in photoshop. 1. Black background 2. On another layer use the gradient tool. Set to B/W, start where you want the light source to be and drag away. Now filter/render/difference clouds. (if you want the lightning effect hit ctrl-I. Then change this layer to overlay. 3. Put a third layer between these two. Grab a HUGE soft brush, set the opacity to to around 30-35, and pick the color you want. Now just click here and there and watch the plasma field come alive. Use a second color to give it depth, use black to darken areas up. Thats all there is to it. Hope that helps.

Roy, you are the master! This is Wicked Cool! Love the metallic, high-tech look of this. Awesome work, my friend! Orlando, huh? I'm finding things are kinda $$$$$ around Tampa, as well! :-D Gas is a little cheaper here than back in Missouri, though.

Oh, I love this one. What a great looking helmet and the wrist bands are super too. The glow she give off is stunning and probably a little off-putting to the bad guys. Thanks for the tutorial, it's always fun to know how it's made. Excellent job, and have a great trip to Orlando. Well earned.
