I've had a few people ask me how to pronounce my screenname...
"Magick Maeve" Its Celtic. My roots are Irish/Scottish, Native American.
My friends list isn't in any particular order. I didn't even know we could do that until someone informed me of such. I decided not to order them and see what happens on its own! ;)Â
ETomcheck first introduced me to Poser, Bryce and Renderosity (Thanks Beth!) And thanks to her IÂ have met some really amazing people here! So glad to be a part of this community and to be friends with those who can deal with my strangeness! LOLÂ :)
Peace, Love and Chocolate Cake!
Much Love,
Lorie

Beautiful! You might want to try to play with the lights a bit. I mean for the texture. Sometimes that happens to me and I change the lights and it sometimes does it. You can check your AO to. Some textures need to have Ambient Occlusion and some don't because it is included in the texture itself. Just a thought. These lights work really nicely on her skin though. Maybe try a different sclera?

I actually think the lips look fantastic. I'm just starting work with Poser so I'm not very helpful. And I can't get Poser to load V4 with ANY of her morphs. Go figure. I like the lighting in this image.

Beautiful portrait!!

Fabulous portait goddess! I'd agree with Jules as far as any suggestions. Always a pleasure to see your works. Take care.

You maybe wanted her eyes look different, Lorie, but this lady looks beautiful just the way she is! When working with Poser or other software you'll quite often meet mistakes and strange things happening that turn out to be better than the original idea... I have experienced thousands of such "happy accidents"! I hope someone can explain the issue with changed eye color, though... :)

A fantastic portrait!! Love the background :)

I like it very much because of the head position (not natural). It gives the picture some surrealistic touch. Piece of art!

If any color is showing up in the render which you did not expect while working in the pose room it is almost certainly because the primary light shining on that surface is overiding that object's diffuse or specular color nodes. This can be fixed in two ways: 1) in the pose room you can simply change the color of the light to more closely match the color you want as the surface color or the highlight color. Or you can change the light color more to white which will let the surface color show through. Although this is a relatively simple fix it will also affect all surfaces that the light shines on, which may not be desirable. 2) You can make the fix on the object itself in the material room. Open up the object, victoria, and the surface, it will either be cornea or sclera (I am not sure which one will work but one or both will). Then go to diffuse color, left click on it and a color pallete will open. Choose the color that comes close to what you want. This will change the primary surface color. If you want the highlights to change then click on specular color and do the same. The underlying color that the vendor used will still be present but these colors will overlay that. They effectively give a unique color to the light that is being shone on that object independent of the lights color in the pose room. This fix, although more complicated, will let you keep the light's color but will make the change just for the eye. You can use this technique for any object or material surface where you want to have control over how the light affects just one object at a time in a scene. Hope this helps. Oh, one more way. You can also find the original texture file in the texture folder, load it into photoshop, enhance the colors and then reload that texture as the Image Source in the Color Texture node in the material room.

i must say that for me as soon as i load v4 or worse a4 , i do have to put some texture whatever on her because by default she looks stupid (sorry)wich means to me to work at ease i give her whatever character mat -not necessarily the final one but just to be able to work. but seeing this here and considering that she has no morphs or the like she is the best (almost "default" vick i have seen yet) this inspires me to do one with s4 maybe and see what comes out,i am not soo good at portraits but i will try to set a scene around and give her a close-up. i jusy hope that i explained this "understandably" because it is only 0600 in the morning local time and i did not had my coffee yet.
