Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time.  I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

That top one looks like a Violet Ground beetle, which reminds me of a funny story. At camp with some teenagers from my school, we had an insect-collecting afternoon, and put them all into a glass tank to bring back to the science lab and identify. When we got home the Violet Ground beetle had eaten everyone else in the tank!

The stick was a nice touch. :) I believe most (maybe all?) beetles have wings, though, so they were probably okay. :D They just found a tasty snack with whatever is living there, and then they'll be on their way. Great shot!

Beetles! Yeah, like PHELINAS, I also thought of Kephra (sometimes spelled Kephri) only he was a dung beetle who rolled the sun across the sky with his hind legs, which is kind of odd since it's mostly the females who do that...but then, as a beetle god, he must have been one of those gentlemen we keep hearing about. As for this shot. WOW! OOOOH! This is superb! I've never seen either of these two beetle breeds and I'm quite partial to the one on the bottom of the shot. Look at that carapace! Those details! Now that is elegance personified! This is a stunning image and zoom is a must! WOW! Very nice, and I love the fact that you gave them a way out. Marvelous! Superb!

What a funny story by Andrea! At least that made the identifying process go more quickly. Wonderful detail, texture, and color! The patterns on the metal adds great interest to the image. Beautifully detailed textures on the beetles! The one that is not a Violet Ground Beetle looks like a fancy brooch. Excellent shot!
