Description

Hello everyone!!! this time Im not only posting this image I want to share my nightmare with you trying to get to this image... first I started getting an error message as soon as the program finished calculating the shadow maps and the word "rendering " appeared on the progress box: "The renderer encountered a memory error and the program has become unstable. Please close and restart DAZ Studio as soon as possible DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module" but with a .dll that by looking inside my machine I discovered is part of the integrated video chip on the motherboard, How much video memory does your computers have? Do You have a graphics videocard? I used to have a P4 2ghz machine with 1.5 Gb of Ram and an ATI Radeon 9700 pro 128 mb videocard and that error never appeared, I once rendered a scene with three victorias all dressed up and holding guns, one michael dressed too, three cars, the garage, seven extra guns, two of aikos sailor portfolios, two extra containers, and one panther at the top scaled to look as a cat, six lights, and it didnt crashed, took forever to render but it didnt crashed, you can check the scene on my gallery its called "We Must Hide Now...", I changed my computer for a Dual Core at 2 Ghz with 1 Gb of Ram but no video card only the 64mb of shared memory, it took me by surprise since Ive already rendered all of the items that Im using on the scene that causes the crash on other renders in that new machine and none had ever crashed, some other on my friends computer and still no crash, the only diference is that Im featuring a bridge this time, the sunlight simulation has been used in other renders like "Motoko" which has a very complex spaceship on the background one of the cars Im currently using, a very detailed landing pad, victoria 4 all dressed up, and it didnt crashed, In fact a second Motoko image was made with a rhino, two panthers, one big chopper, a temple on the back ground and went out ok, first I tried the new scene on my new computer, it crashed twice on a friend of mines computer but it also doesnt have a graphics card and this time the .dll that failed was the internal delight driver, this new scene was rendered already only without some other models and I called it "Racing Girl" this helps me think that its not an old content issue like some other people say or at least its not in this case, I deleted the bridge to confirm the old content thing since the other models dont cause crashes, but it did crash again, I would suggest that this is a video issue and might be solved with a "video expansion", but guess what... I tested the same scene with another background, removed the bridge and replaced it with another background prop but still the same result, changed one of the cars and pose... same result, removed one of the girls and one of the cars... same result, reloaded the hole scene but removed the sunlight simulation and... RENDER!... My problem was the sunlight simulation!, tested the scene with another set of lights and... RENDER!... I suppose its a large amount of data to calculate with a simple video driver and we need nvidia or ati to solve this, I tested it a bit more with another set of lights and this time I will tried a "lighter" version of sunlight, only 5 lights, the "sun" had a raytrace shadow, and that attempt crashed again... I was going crazy I wanted to leave it and move on... but I did one slight change... I took of the rayrace shadow and left it as shadow map... same girls, same cars, same clothing, a more complex background than the bridge, and RENDER!!! apparently in my case the raytrace shadows are the problem its the first time that I have to render 8 times to get a decent result I wanted to give you people a better light array but I need a lot more time to get there without raytrace shadows and witout a video card, anyway I hope you like this one and Ill be reposting it ASAP... Thanks for Stopping By!!!

I've been having the same problem. I figured it out eventually. Can't wait to see the finished project.

I've had a lot of the same issues with Daz, this is no real surprise, it's quite a finicky program.
